1. Can you tell our readers about The Nerdy Girlie?

Hi Nerds! My name is Megan Gotch and I run a blog called The Nerdy Girlie! I began it three years ago as a way to help other nerds enjoy San Diego Comic Con. Since then it has grown into a showcasing of everything I’m nerdy about, connecting with other like minded nerds and most recently sharing my personal journeys!

2. How did you get started?

I started after I attended my fourth San Diego Comic Con in 2012. I realized afterwards that I loved the place so much,that I needed to share my adventures and tips with other nerds who might be attending for the first time or the fiftieth!

3. Do you have any favorite Nerdy DIY projects?

Truth be told, DIY is not my favorite! LOL I love the idea of it and the end result, but it is the middle stuff that gets me! I like being quick and DIYing is not quick! BUT I do LOVE some of the things I’ve created! My favorites would be my TARDIS shoes and my BBC Sherlock head band. The latter is SUPER quick and easy!

4. Which character would you cosplay on a $15 budget?

My closet is ALWAYS the first place I look for cosplay pieces! So with that my favorite one to do is my 11th Doctor. I’ve had a coat like his for the longest time and one day I just decided to try to piece together a look and I did it with everything I already owned! Some of my favorite places to find cheap cosplay pieces are Forever 21, H&M and Goodwill.

5. If you could travel to any fictional universe and live their, where would you go? What skillz would you have?
I would definitely pick Hogwarts! I LOVE the magic of those stories and the way the movies brought them to life visually. I wish I could jump inside! Just being able to use a wand successfully would be a dream. Once you got that down you are set for life!

6. You are hosting a Christmas party and can invite three characters to attend with all your friends and family. Who would you choose? Why?

The 10th Doctor, Harry Potter and Sherlock {Cumberbatch version} one Brit from each of my favorite fandoms…I love my Brit boys! LOL

7. Do you use Pinterest? What’s your favorite thing to pin?

Do you have any boards that you would like to share with our readers?

I LOVE Pinterest! I just revamped a few of my boards. My San Diego Comic Con tips, Everyday Cosplay and my Nerd Crafts. It was so fun to go back and make some Pinterest worthy images to go along with articles I am so proud of!
