What will the future of the Anomaly podcast be?
In this episode, Jen and Angela talk about the future of the Anomaly Podcast, which is now over a decade old. Things have changed a lot since 2006 and so have the listeners and hosts. It’s time to grow! Listen, podcasting is fun but it’s also hard work, especially when you’re a working mom who’s redesigning your show. Jen and Angela could use your help. All you have to do is answer the three short questions below. :)
- How long have you been listening?
- What is your favorite Anomaly episode? Tell us which one and why.
- Do you have an idea you think we should consider for the show as we redefine and reorganize the Anomaly Podcast?
Comment below or send us an email. Thanks for listening and for supporting Jen and Angela!
We’ll be back next week!

About The Hosts
I thought you guys disappeared, but thank God you returned. I wished it would stay even longer. Here’s an idea: how about discuss from episodes from YouTube Red original series… Which is now YouTube premium.
HI Pierre! We thought you disappeared too! :) Thanks for the feedback! We are subscribed to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and CBS All Access (off and on). I’m not sure we could swing YouTube Premium but that Karate Kid show might just push me to pay for yet another streaming service! Thanks again for your suggestion and for listening to the show!
More “Baby Diana”!
Ok so I’ve been listening for about 10 years and prefer the shows where you have guests who give their personal perspectives. Or ones where you really drill down on a show, book or subject and get into the knitty gritty.
I believe we subscribe to Podcasts like Treks in Sci-fi and the Anomaly because you don’t waste time on the negative. You help define and redefine what it means to be a nerd, geek or anomaly. Expand on that. In the end, we’re all nerds of something, sports, films, comics, our kids, whatever, and you’ve created a welcoming, positive community for all of us to revel in.
Much like ST:ToS, you present an ideal vision of the universe, of geekdome. Where nerds and fans of all kinds can celebrate and immerse themselves in all the amazing content we have now at our disposal. It wasn’t always like this, I remember the drought.
So what now? A rebranding maybe in order but I think you should stick to your mission statement . Sharpen it, hone it and redefine it. What does it mean to be an anomaly today? Maybe that’s changed. Maybe it’s more inclusive, maybe it’s more ingrained into society, maybe we’re all anomalies, maybe not.
And what’s the future look like? Will the superhero movie go the same way of the Western? Whatever you do keep talking to us like we’re all at a diner, drinking coffee.
Also I liked the supplemental shows. So naybe more of that too.
Also, also, I agree with Angela. The gym is for working-out not socializing. I like meeting people too, just not on the treadmill. Keep up the good work. We’ll be listening.
Regards and respect.
Hi, Jose! Thanks for the feedback and encouragement! Great suggestions—very helpful. Oh, Anomaly Supplemental is not coming back but maybe we’ll have them on as guests in the future.
