Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Our story on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story had mixed reviews in this roundtable podcast episode. Jen and Angela of Anomaly, Joe and Chris (Jen’s co-hosts from The Star Wars Stacks), and Rico from Treks in Sci-Fi all had a “certain point of view” and so this episode of Anomaly was rather spirited at times. They all liked the film, but they each had a different take on the Star Wars story’s execution and plot. From the use of CGI and the dark nature of the script to the EU nods and cameo appearances, just about everything was touched on in this chat.
And what was up with the Rogue One trailers?
Several scenes shown in the trailers were absent from the movie! They talked about that as well as the changes made to the ending of the film. Listen to the episode to get the full story.
How does Rogue One Compare to The Force Awakens?
While Rogue One is a more original story, it was suggested by a couple of individuals in this discussion that the characters in The Force Awakens are more likable.
In order to feel the sacrifice of a character, you should feel some connection to them. Did Rogue One succeed in making us feel all the feels?
