Listen to our Star Wars the Force Awakens review above, to hear a discussion about the film. We usually try to come up with a witty title to demonstrate our unique feelings regarding whatever we are reviewing. But in the wake of seeing Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens, all I can say is WOW! Is it perfect? Probably not. But is it perfect for the time and the place we saw it and for being the kind of fans we are.
I’m sure that as the days and months go by and as we see more viewings, we will dissect and question all kinds of things, but right now as a singular movie viewing experience we will rank it as one of the best since we started Anomaly for sure.
The Force Awakens is the Star Wars film we have been waiting for. Practical effects, witty dialogue, a female protagonist, nods to the best things about the preceding movies, surprises, action, storytelling that gets you right in the feels. It was a fun ride, and we can’t wait for more.

This is how i see it: Imagine you have 6 icecream flavors; 1.Vanilla, 2.Chocolate, 3.Apple, 4.Pineapple, 5.Watermelon, and 6.Coconut, ok?, and you say 4,5 and 6 are your favorites, ok?
And then a “New” flavor came, a seventh flavor is here, OMG! and when you taste it you say “This new flavor is amazing, it is the best of all!!” but if you read the ingredients you find out there is no new flavor at all, it was just 4, 5 and 6 again, mixed, and with chips of 3!!. …and new characters, similar, but new.
It is obvious you will like it, don’t you think? there is no risk there. And don’t get me as a hater, a liked and enjoyed it a lot, i saw it 4 times in theater, there are amazing stuff happening there, but there was nothing new really, i was a little disaponted by that, because every star wars film delivers something new and different every time, but not this time.
The best of this movie are the main characters, those i loved them., and the final duel, those eye reflections scene, this was the real adition to the star wars universe, in my opinion, and hope the new movies fill that imaginative part this one is lacking… Imagination and creativiy is what Star Wars is made of, i believe.

Thanks for the note, Christian! Glad you found the show. Ha, ha, good analogy. There were definitely things (like the planet killer) we could have done without, but overall it was a good film. We loved the characters and are thrilled at the addition of Rey. I’m hoping they bring the heat in the next in the TFA trilogy. ~Jen
