The Anomaly Podcast is a award winning bi-monthly talk show that is often featured in the “What’s Hot” section under TV and Film in the iTunes Store. This geek girl podcast is often described by listeners (both men and women) as “smart”, “funny”, “informative” and “addictive”.
The co-hosts (and Anomaly founders), Angela and Jen, have two goals for every episode; to have fun and to offer their perspective on all things geek. Jen and Angela are active on Twitter and Facebook. Please follow and friend by using the links at the very bottom of each of our pages.
Jen and Angela met at the company where they still work, and became fast friends. After discovering podcasts, the two friends decided to share the geeky conversations, typically had over lunch breaks, with the world. They recorded their first episode of Anomaly in 2007 and have no plans of stopping.
Its geek girl podcast episodes are centered on sci fi fantasy books, movies, television and games as well as costuming and cosplay tips and renaissance festivals, sci fi conventions reports. The hosts have a special place in their hearts for Star Trek episodes, Star Wars movies, Dr. Who episodes and theatre, but they’ll cover just about anything as long as it’s considered “geeky”. Thanks to the addition of Anomaly Supplemental, Anomaly now offers subscribers extra content, additional perspectives and a greater number of show topics.
Music used in the Show
The theme music for this geek girl podcast, was written and performed by The Illuminati; a punk rock band that Angela’s husband played bass in. The band still meets from time to time and recorded unplugged versions for Angela and Jen to use on the show.

“First Podcast to get me hooked!”
by evah44 - May 22, 2014
"I've just recently entered the world of podcast and after sampling a few minutes of different science/technology/geeks shows, I found Anomaly. I was instantly hooked. I haven't listened to any of the other shows yet because I'm busy catching up on years of Anomaly! It was so refreshing to find a podcast that happened to overlap with 90% of my geeky interests. The hosts are interesting, knowledgeable, and articulate, and yet it feels as if they are just hanging out in your house with you, being awesome and hilarious." - evah44

"The subject (general geekness: scifi, fantasy, gaming, etc.) is great, but the real strength of the podcast is the hosts. Jen and Angela are interesting, fun and they have a great chemistry. The only downside here is it's only a monthly podcast (at the time of this post in 2009), but even that's a compliment: listeners will wish for more. Thanks ladies. Keep going."
“Fun listen if you are into sic fi and geekdom”
Courtney C.- Sept 25, 2013
Love it! Great to hear people talking about nerdy things that are not the typical "guys in the forties living with their parents". Sorry other podcaster. I'm sure you're perfectly fine human beings, but there are a lot of you and you all talk a lot. It's time to hear the other side for a change.
“Thank you to you both”
"This podcast is unique in many good ways. Each month a main topic of discussion is chosen from the widest range of the geekdom without skirting any core issues. There's balance both in the edit and the music. Jen & Angela will revisit the main theme and prepare for the topic of the month, or invite a third speaker for more information or liveliness. The two hostesses can stay on topic or take the right tangent if deemed necessary. The reviews are entertaining if one knows the main theme. If not, Anomaly still permits one to appreciate the movies/tv shows/else that were discovered by listening. Spoiler alerts are present and used. 5 stars for making the world better by being there." -Climatic4
