Anomaly Supplemental has a brand new episode after their March break from recording!

This April podcast is entitled “Muppets in Space” in which Sue and KC have a discussion about Muppets and puppets of all sorts in science fiction and genre entertainment. Included is Sue’s disclaimer about why we chose this episode’s title along with the difference between Muppets and puppets. The co-hosts also discuss the lack of puppetry and practical effects in modern films, what separates puppeteers from men in suits, the effect Jim Henson had on the entertainment industry, and more.

UPDATE (4/21/14): On Saturday April 19th,  The Nerdist Podcast released a great interview with Brian Henson, the chairman of the Jim Henson Company and son of Jim Henson. There is adult language in this interview, as a forewarning. (It seems to be a popular week in podcasting about puppetry…)

Next time on Anomaly Supplemental, Sue and KC are admitting to their geeky and non-geeky guilty pleasures. Now we are all proud geeks… but not many of us still openly admit to enjoying films like Kate and Leopold, or reveling in the madness that is “Dance Moms.” However, following the motto of the geek and nerd community, we should like what we like and be proud of it. Do you have any so-called guilty pleasures of the geek or non-geek variety? Send an email or audio comment to moregirlygeekz(at)gmail.com.

KC
KCCo-Host/ Anomaly Supplemental
After misspellings of her first name and confusion with her middle name sounding like “Klingon,” she now uses her initials as her nom de plume.
Sue
SueCo-Host/ Anomaly Supplemental
Sue is a trekkie, a tap dancer, a juggler, a sports fan, an amateur photographer, a Henson fan, a blogger, a theatre nerd, a reader, a board-gamer…and therefore an “Anomaly”.
