Welcome to the Anomaly Podcast! In 2008, Angela and I covered one of our favorite movies–Galaxy Quest. When we polled our listeners about which archived Anomaly episode they wanted us to reintroduce to our podcast feed, they overwhelmingly chose Galaxy Quest. It seems we aren’t the only ones who love this sci-fi comedy. SPOILER ALERT!

The story focuses on the cast of Galaxy Quest, a once-popular television space-drama series starring Jason Nesmith (Allen) as the commander of a spaceship called the NSEA Protector, Sir Alexander Dane (Rickman) as the ship’s alien science officer, Fred Kwan (Shalhoub) as the chief engineer, Gwen DeMarco (Weaver) as the computer officer, and Tommy Webber (Mitchell) as a precocious child pilot. Guy Fleegman (Rockwell) played a security officer who was quickly killed off in his only appearance on the show, in Episode 81. (moovidadb.com)

This episode includes the movie trailer and a few clips to illustrate our points. It also includes great Mathazar transitions voiced by Rick Moyer and comments from one of our favorite listeners–Kenny from California.

If you haven’t seen the movie, be aware that we do spoil it. We highly recommend you watch it before hand—buy it! It’s now available on blu-ray.

Thanks to Kenny from California for his comments and Rick Moyer for his voice over contributions.

I forgot to add this promo to our episode. Please check out the sci-fi horror audio drama, Sci-Fi Radio Theater, entitled: Hyper Nocturnal.
