Ashley is the voice of Ahsoka Tano on “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and the creator of Her Universe, a science-fiction inspired merchandise line (apparel, accessories, and cosmetics) exclusively for women, currently partnered with Lucasfilm and Syfy. Ashley grew up as a Disney kid and a “Star Wars” fan, has been designing clothes since she was 10, and has a massive Alice in Wonderland collection.

Anomaly Interview: Marian Call

Released October 17, 2011. In this special interview, Sue and Kasey from Anomaly Supplemental chat with Marian Call. Marian is an American singer-songwriter based in Anchorage, Alaska. Many of her songs lyrics reflect aspects of geek culture. While primarily a vocalist, she occasionally uses a typewriter for percussion as well as the remains of her cat Zippy which are stored in a small tin. One of the events that led to Call’s accumulating fan-base came after she entered and won the Sing a Song of Saffron contest. The contest was held by a fan blog for the television series Firefly, and Call won with her song “It Was Good for You, Too”.

Anomaly: Carrie Goldman Interview

Released October 1, 2011. Sue talks with Carrie Goldman, the mother of “Katie the Star Wars Girl”. Carrie shares some great advice on dealing with bullying as a parent and talking to kids about bullying and being bullied. She also talks about how she believes being “geeky” has influenced Katie in the way she thinks and the way she plays with other kids. We talk about the good influence of strong, confident female characters in science fiction, but also the sticky situations surrounding “sexiness” and “empowerment” in female characters, and what that may mean for young girls in the audience.

Anomaly Interview: Marian Call

Released October 17, 2011. In this special interview, Sue and Kasey from Anomaly Supplemental chat with Marian Call. Marian is an American singer-songwriter based in Anchorage, Alaska. Many of her songs lyrics reflect aspects of geek culture. While primarily a vocalist, she occasionally uses a typewriter for percussion as well as the remains of her cat Zippy which are stored in a small tin. One of the events that led to Call’s accumulating fan-base came after she entered and won the Sing a Song of Saffron contest. The contest was held by a fan blog for the television series Firefly, and Call won with her song “It Was Good for You, Too”.

Anomaly Interview: Virgin Galactic’s VP of Special Projects – Will Pomerantz
